 |
| We would like to instil this motto in you and
be a constant companion on your way to the South.
In the following description we would like to make
you more familiar with the Costa Brava, which we
consider to be a small, still intact paradise. The
Costa Brava is an ideal place to be for every person,
no matter what their taste, likes or opinions and
wellbeing may be. |
|
| A wonderfully stable climate without
extremes. The summer is warm and dry, with temperatures
ranging from 25 to hardly beyond 32 degrees and
a winter with average temperatures of 15 degrees
at the coldest time of the year, which raises spring
feelings in any Central European. The approx. 300
days of sunshine annually also have a positive effect
on our overall wellbeing. |
|
 |
 |
| The sophisticated coastal landscape with its picturesque
bays and harbour villages, a rocky coastline of
extraordinary beauty and the evergreen of the fantastic
hinterland and all of it surrounded by the foothills
of the Pyrenees have truly more than earned the
name of "paradise". |
|
| Thousands of English families have found their second residence here, or their retirement residence or even their new place of residence. An infrastructure ideally suited for the "new migrants" of whom English is the leading one, simplifies adapting to the new environment without a deeper knowledge of the country's native language. |
|
 |
 |
| Furthermore, you don´t have to miss out on anything you are used to in England. From the traditional Spanish Bodega (wine bar) whit its delicious Tapes, to numerous fish restaurants of all categories and apart from the best French cuisine you will find fish chips, Sunday roasts and other typical English meals, if your taste buds call for it. |
|
| The central position of the Costa Brava has of course made its own contribution towards pushing this region up on the popularity scale. From Dover-Calais you can reach the Costa Brava by car in a comfortable day's travel. The route is approximately 1.250 km long. By plane, the Costa Brava can be reached via the airports of Gerona or Barcelona several times daily from UK. |
|
 |
 |
| The central location of the Costa Brava also offers
enough opportunities for relaxation activities if
you are looking for an alternative to water sports.
From the middle of November until the end of April
you have the opportunity of revelling in winter
sports in the high regions of the Pyrenees, which
are about 2,5 hours drive away. An excursion to
the neighbouring French Languedoc-Rousillion, with
all its delights such as wine tasting in the numerous
wineries with world-renowned wines, can be managed
in an afternoon. |
|
| The Costa Brava extends from the
North to the South from Portbou via Cadaques Roses,
Empuriabrava, Escala, Estartit, Playa d'Aro all
the way to Blanes, over a distance of approx.100
km. In this historic region, significant wars and
battles have taken place over the last 2000 years.
This is an extremely interesting region for historians.
|
|
 |
 |
| We have mainly concentrated our activities on
two focal points. On the one hand this is the famous
Bahia de Rosses with the town of the same name -
Rosses -, Empuriabrava, St. Pere Pescador and on
the other hand it is the coastal area from Estartit
via Pals, Begur, Palafrugell, Palamos, Playa d'Aro,
Sant Feliu de Guixols, S'Agaro to Tossa de Mar.
You will find the most beautiful areas of the Costa
Brava within these two regions. |
